Expo 2027 Mascots Bring the Spirit of Play to Life Across Serbia

Have you already met the playful mascots of Expo 2027 Belgrade? In recent days, the Expo 2027 mascots, a boy and a girl in stylised traditional costumes, have appeared at numerous locations, bringing smiles and joy to passers-by. They posed for photos with citizens, invited them to vote for their future names, and spread the energy of togetherness, sport, and play - exactly what lies at the heart of the “Play for Humanity: Sport and Music for All” theme.

Their adventure began on the famous promenade in Vrnjačka Banja, before dazzling on the court during the friendly basketball match between Serbia and Slovenia. Amid the cheering atmosphere and with the support of the audience, the mascots celebrated the Serbian team’s victory along with everyone present.

Their journey then took them to Belgrade Airport, a symbol of the future gathering of visitors from all corners of the world who will arrive in Serbia’s capital in 2027. With a “boarding pass” showing Expo 2027 as the destination, the mascots welcomed numerous travellers and invited them to return to Belgrade in 2027.

The lively tour continued through Kalemegdan and Belgrade Zoo, delighting the youngest visitors, and concluded at Belgrade Waterfront, where the mascots joined one of the region’s largest sporting events, the international padel tournament featuring more than 100 players from over 20 countries. There, they showed that they are ready for every sporting challenge, proving that play is a universal language connecting people without borders.

Every stop along this journey sent a clear message: Belgrade is ready to welcome the world in 2027 - through sport, music, and the joy of play.

Voting for the mascots’ names is still ongoing, and you can support your favourites at the link.
