25.06.2025

The company EXPO 2027 d.o.o. Belgrade and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia have signed an Agreement on Institutional Partnership, establishing a framework for close cooperation in the implementation of the business program of the Specialized Exhibition EXPO 2027. The agreement was signed by Dušan Borovčanin, Director of EXPO 2027 d.o.o. Belgrade, and Marko Čadež, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia. This partnership is based on a shared interest in maximizing the potential of EXPO 2027 to advance the Serbian economy, foster international business cooperation, and position Belgrade and Serbia as a hub for innovation, investment, and creative exchange.“Given that, in addition to numerous programs for the general public and participating countries, the Expo will also have a significant business component, it is completely natural for the Chamber of Commerce to take part in the planning, preparation, and implementation of the entire business program. Furthermore, we have several pillars of cooperation related to involving both domestic and international companies and investors in the corporate participants’ zone and the best practices zone, as well as creating opportunities for participants, business delegations, and investors to learn about investment opportunities in Serbia and form business partnerships,” stated Dušan Borovčanin, Director of EXPO 2027 d.o.o. Belgrade.By signing the agreement, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia — the umbrella organization representing all registered business entities in the country — has committed to supporting the organization and implementation of EXPO 2027 by leveraging its resources, influence, and credibility, without receiving any financial or non-financial compensation.“The formalization of this partnership is a natural continuation of an initiative we launched several years ago, believing that Belgrade deserves to host a world expo. We have a huge task ahead of us, but the Chamber has been a strategic partner of the Expo from day one, and we are already working to fill this event with substance and deliver concrete value to companies — through business events, opportunities, and promotion of our economy’s potential. The Expo must live — not only during the three months of the event but also in the years leading up to it and long after 2027. Our goal is for EXPO 2027 to be more than a spectacle — it must be a platform for future development. We want Belgrade to become the technological hub of the region after 2027,” said Marko Čadež, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia. As an institutional partner, the Chamber will actively participate in the design and implementation of key segments of the Expo’s business program, which will include a Global Business Summit and thematic business forums. Through the activities envisioned within the business segment, EXPO 2027 will serve as a strong platform for promoting domestic companies, attracting foreign investors, connecting the business community, and presenting Serbia as a partner country on the global economic map. This collaboration, initiated through the Agreement, will create new models of engagement with global partners, provide increased visibility for domestic companies, and open the door to international markets. The partnership between EXPO 2027 and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia confirms the strategic direction of the Expo preparations — one focused on delivering long-term benefits for society, the economy, and Serbia’s international image.
